Cienfuegos and Santa Clara

On the way to Trinidad we stopped at Cienfuegos. On the way back we drove via Santa Clara.
The place where Che Guevara and his gang of barbudas (bearded ones) derailed an armored train in 1958, hereby orchestrating the fall of the city of Santa Clara. The victory meant the end of the Batista dictatorship.

Che’s monument and mausoleum is a truly impressive place, specially the mausoleum.
