Hell’s Gate, Alexandra Bridge and Othello Tunnels

The Hell’s Gate air tram ride is amazing! A bit scary, specially if you are afraid of heights, but definitely worthwhile. We were also lucky to see the “Rocky Mountaineer” come by;  people on the train waving at us.
Pretty close to Hell’s Gate is the old Alexandra Bridge.
I saw this bridge on a painting by Max Jacquiard and was anxious to see the real thing.
Our visit to the Othello Tunnels was a spontaneous decision, and one we truly enjoyed.
The history behind it is quite interesting.
As it was an unplanned visit, we did not have a flashlight with us, something really needed in the pitch-black tunnels!
